  Tony Ferreira, School Change Coach, has over two decades experience as a secondary school principal in southeastern Massachusetts. He served as principal of the Dorothy Beckwith Middle School for 16 years and for five years he was principal of the Douglas Junior Senior High School.

Tony is known for working collaboratively with faculty to improve students higher level thinking kills, writing skills and mathematics skills using data as a basis for decisions to improvement. In recognition of his extraordinary track record the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators Association named him Middle School Principal of the Year in 2003.

Tony has contributed to the improvement of learning for all involved in secondary schools through a variety of positions. He produced a of cable television programs on “homework," 2000-2001. He was a strong member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Principal Preparation Task Force from 2004-2006. And, he was appointed by the governor to Commission to Study Middle Level Education in Massachusetts, 2004.
